California Bank & Trust (CB&T), a leading financial institution serving businesses and individuals across California, is rolling out a limited-time Young Savers account offer designed to engage San Diego families, celebrate its partnership with San Diego FC (SDFC) and reinforce its commitment to financial literacy and community growth.
As part of the promotion, families who open an SDFC Young Savers account with a minimum $5 deposit will receive an $18 annual match for five years, totaling $90 in matched savings—a meaningful boost to help young account holders build healthy financial habits early. The offer is available to residents of San Diego County zip codes from August 1 through October 31, 2025.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Offer available exclusively to San Diego County residents
• Account holder must be 25 years old or younger
• Valid ID and Social Security Number (SSN) required for both youth and adult
• Youth over age 12 must be present at account opening
This initiative is part of CB&T’s broader efforts to support youth empowerment and financial education across the region.
“We’re proud to offer a program that supports families in teaching their children about the value of saving from an early age,” said CB&T Chief Operating Officer Chikako Tyler. “With the SDFC Young Savers Account, we hope to empower the next generation with practical tools and incentives to build healthy financial habits that last a lifetime.”
To celebrate the launch, CB&T and SDFC will host a community launch event on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the CB&T La Mesa Branch, featuring a live Q&A by an SDFC player, family-friendly activities and exclusive giveaways.
