To help first-time homebuyers understand the steps to purchasing a home, California Bank & Trust (CB&T), a leading financial institution serving businesses and individuals across the state, is hosting “Creating Wealth Through Homeownership,” a free event with New Economics for Women and Antelope Valley Partners for Health. The in-person workshop will take place on Thursday, April 17, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the CB&T Lancaster branch located at 831 W. Lancaster Blvd. The event aims to help attendees gain the knowledge and confidence to navigate the homebuying process and learn about available resources to support their journey.
“Homeownership is a significant milestone, and understanding the financial and logistical steps involved is crucial for first-time homebuyers,” said CB&T Senior Vice President and Regional Manager Angela Underwood Jacobs. “We are excited to work with New Economics for Women and Antelope Valley Partners for Health to help equip individuals and families with the information they need to help make informed decisions about their financial futures.”
In addition to the educational benefits, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a drawing to win four tickets to a Los Angeles Dodgers game.
“Homeownership is a cornerstone of financial stability, and this event is designed to provide prospective buyers with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions,” said New Economics for Women Chief Executive Officer Leticia Andueza. “CB&T shares our commitment to empowering individuals and families through financial education and access to opportunity. Together, we can help ensure more people can achieve the long-term security that homeownership provides.”
The event is open to the public, and advance registration is required. To RSVP, please visit here.
“This event aligns with our mission to educate, strengthen and advocate for the well-being of the Antelope Valley community,” said Antelope Valley Partners for Health Executive Director Michelle Fluke. “By equipping residents with the knowledge and resources necessary to navigate the homeownership process, we are fostering greater financial stability and long-term economic resilience in the region.”
