Chikako Tyler is the Chief Operating Officer at California Bank & Trust (CB&T), where she is responsible for the bank’s strategy and operations. In this role, she oversees financial management and planning, business operations, commercial depository services, corporate real estate, treasury management sales. Tyler began her career at CB&T in 2010 as a real estate analyst and has since held leadership roles in finance, credit, operations and risk—most recently serving for seven years as Chief Financial Officer.
Tyler is a dedicated community advocate, serving as a board member for Accessity, a microfinancing lender, and the San Diego Natural History Museum, or “the Nat”. She has previously served on the board of Junior Achievement of Orange County, United Way of Orange County and Teen Entrepreneur Academy.
With a track record of exceptional leadership, Tyler’s accomplishments include, attending Harvard’s International Women’s Forum Executive Leadership Fellows Program, and founding the CB&T “Banking on Women” diversity and inclusion group. She’s also been recognized by American Banker as part of the ‘Top Teams in the Most Powerful Women in Banking’ for two consecutive years and won the San Diego Business Journal’s CFO of the Year award.
She holds an international MBA with an emphasis in finance from the University of Amsterdam and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of California, Irvine.
